Do I have to take the lessons on italki?
Yes. 25 hours of lessons with a Professional Teacher or Community Tutor must be taken on italki. Trial lessons will not be counted.
Do I have to pay for the lessons I take?
Yes. These lessons must be paid by the Challenger as normal.
FAQ
When will you start counting the lessons I take?
The Language Challenge takes place from June 1st to July 31st, 2014 for a total of 8 weeks. We start counting completed "hours" on June 1st. If you join the Language Challenge after June 1st (registration ends on June 15th), all sessions taken between June 1st, 2014 and July 31st, 2014 will be counted towards the challenge.
Why should I take the Challenge?
Previous Challenges have proven to help language learners to get into a habit of learning. It has helped their motivation, but setting a clear goal they need to meet.
Can I take Instant Tutoring sessions?
Yes. Instant Tutoring sessions count but as they are only 30 minutes in length, 2 Instant Tutoring sessions count for 1 completed one hour session.
